Discover Venice and Gondola Ride - T45

Land of water - A view of the city from two complementary vantage points

Part one

An enchanting gondola ride along the Grand Canal and the inner canals of Venice

Glide along the Venetian canals on a gondola, and admire Venice from your unique vantage point. Venice was made to be seen from the water, and on the water the gentle, flowing movements of the gondola will make this a mesmerizing experience. Lay back and let the gondolier guide you through the magic of the city.

HIGHLIGHTS

• From the Calle Vallaresso gondola station boarding in groups of six. You will ride along the Grand Canal and admire the famous Basilica della Salute
• Leaving the Grand Canal you will continue along the smaller highly picturesque canals in the St. Mark’s district to the Gran Teatro la Fenice
• Return to the Calle Vallaresso landing pier next to Harry’s Bar

Part two

Off the beaten path walking tour between  St. Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge

This guided tour through the streets of Venice will take you from St. Mark’s Square to the Rialto Bridge. The hustle and bustle of the shopping district will give way to the quiet, more atmospheric back alleys where the sky is reflected in the gently flowing water, voices echo in the distance and each palace has a story to tell. The ancient “fondaci” of the foreign merchants and the marketplace reveal the glory and exotic trading past of the city in every architectural detail.

HIGHLIGHTS

• The maze of ancient alleyways between St. Mark’s Square and the Rialto Bridge
• Outside view of Gran Teatro la Fenice
• Outside view of Scala del Bovolo, the spiral staircase of Palazzo Contarini del Bovolo
• The Rialto Bridge
